Dietetic and Nutrition

The Dietetics and Nutrition Unit at Durdans is closely connected to all departments in the hospital and offers dietary and nutritional advice throughout the week for all age groups.

Consultation areas include diabetes mellitus (type 1, type 2 and gestational), cardiovascular disease, management of raised blood lipids, liver disease, kidney disease, digestive conditions such as gastritis and irritable bowel disease, pre- and post-surgical nutrition, tube feeding, weight management and eating disorders, and general wellness.
